El Proyecto

FOSTWOM es un proyecto de tres años cofinanciado por el programa Erasmus+ de la Comisión Europea para la educación superior. FOSTWOM pretende utilizar el potencial inclusivo de los MOOC para proponer asignaturas STEM libres de estereotipos sobre las habilidades de género.

Objetivos

El proyecto Fostering Women to STEM MOOCs (FOSTWOM) es una iniciativa de tres años de duración cofinanciada por el programa de la Comisión Europea Erasmus+ – KA2 Cooperación para la innovación y el intercambio de buenas prácticas – Asociaciones estratégicas para la educación superior.

FOSTWOM se propone utilizar el potencial inclusivo de los Cursos Masivos Abiertos en Línea (MOOCs) para proponer temas STEM libres de supuestos estereotipados sobre las capacidades de los géneros. El consorcio está interesado en atraer a las chicas y aumentar el número de mujeres jóvenes que siguen carreras en la ciencia y la tecnología.

Buenas prácticas en la creación de vídeos y diseño de MOOC que puedan dar a las chicas un sentido de pertenencia cuando entran en las áreas STEM.

Animar a las chicas a seguir carreras STEM basadas en modelos de conducta y situaciones relevantes del mundo real.

Elección cuidadosa del lenguaje y ejemplos que mitiguen los efectos de los estereotipos sobre la capacidad STEM basada en el género.

FOSTWOM priority actions and further concrete measures are reflected in the following outputs and outcomes that aim to raise the number of female students and learners attending courses in STEM, both, as enrolled students in Higher Education, and as STEM MOOCs’ participants.
